Craigslist.org is a place to find, sell, trade, barter, join anything...including murder in the case of Katherine Olson. It's Craigslist.org....NOt dot net.
A St. Paul police inspector calls it 'atypical.'
Uh, yeah...murder is not the typical result of responding to ads on Craigslist or any other ad, I hope.
Usually...
identity theft,
sex crimes,
can happen through connections made at Craigslist...oh, boy, eh?
You can also sell a table for more than you paid for it, or a futon that someone gave you but you canNOT give away...yup..they'll sell on CL.
A 19-year old 'average' kid - suspect, (who hung out with his buddies, was a good neighbor and kept to himself) is accused of placing the ad for a babysitter. When the 24-year old Olsen showed up he killed her and stuffed her in the trunk of her car.
Average kids are murderers now?
What to do:
1. meet in a public place
2. bring a friend if need be
3. use common sense
4. marry the guy if the two of you really hit it off...that happens, too.
What have you done on Craigslist?
