I can't believe how outraged the news media is acting because of Marion Jones. After all we have a president that lied to get us in a war that we are losing, with so much loss of life. People in America have their priorities screwed up.

What caan we do? About what? Liars and cheaters? We can, first of all worry about the liars and cheaters that have led us into a war that has cost thousands of Iraki citizens their and American soldiers theirs.

I find it amazing, in the current context -- which includes not only war, but the pervasiveness of drugs and doping and the use of drugs to succeed in various professional pursuits, but a context which also includes a major war based on lies and deceit -- that Marion Jones is supposed to give us blood for her particular lies. Sponsors? I'm supposed to be worried about sponsors? And what does their success depend on in this world, and do they make it clear to us what it does depend on. Lies by omission, I suppose. But I should be worried about Jones fooling sponsors -- perhaps in some drug-induced nightmare this will happen to me. I have to agree with Marion. The person she hurt the most is herself. Whether she'll be able to forgive herself, not for these lies, but for thinking that gold in any form was, for example, worth her health!is the question I ask myself. Maybe she should have studied the history of gold and how its pursuit has meant death and destruction for millions.

It's a terrible thing that has occurred concerning Marion Jones and others like her who make mistakes. But the worst thing about it all, is how people sit back and criticize with righteous indignation! When will everyone come to understand that all of us make mistakes. There is no such thing as little sin or big sin. Remember when you point the finger at someone there's one pointing back at you! I'm not condoning what's wrong but I'm not condeming either.
