Randi Rhodes of American Radio was mugged near her home in Manhattan.
Her co-host, John Elliot commented on the attack - “this does not appear to me to be a standard grab the money and run mugging.”
Uh...is there such a thing as a standard mugging, I wonder?
Elliot says she did not have a purse or jewelry.
Do muggers look at these things carefully before they act? I think not.
Rhodes lost several teeth in the attack?
Well, maybe she did have something they wanted to grab and run.
Elliot asks more questions than he has answers for:
“Is this an attempt by the right wing hate machine to silence one of our own?
"Are we threatening them?
Rings of thinking more of themselves they ought.
"Are they afraid we’re winning?
Is it a battle when we are discussing truth, right and wrong?
"Are they trying to silence, intimidate us?”
Is that how you 'win?' By silencing someone?
This reminds me somewhat of a rape attack. It's not about sex, it's about violence.
It's not about what Randi Rhodes or John Elliot or American Radio says....it's about violence.
Or is it?
What do you think?

She tripped and fell. Check the latest reports and drop the emotional roller coaster routine.
