The prize awards ceremony will be held on December 1oth (let me check my calendar - I'm free that day) in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Peace Prize will be awarded in Oslo, Norway.

Each award is worth 10 million Swedish kronors ($1.53 million).

Sweden's Alfred Nobel was the founder and the first prize was awarded in 1901 - "To those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind."
