Final results of the 2007 Nobel Prize will be announced in succession beginning today - Details of the announcements are as follows:

1. The Medicine Prize: 10/08/2007 09:30 GMT 

2. The Physics Prize: 10/09/2007 09:45 GMT

3. The Chemistry Prize: 10/10/2007 09:45 GMT

4. The Literature Prize: 10/11/2007 11:00 GMT 

5. The Peace Prize: 10/12/2007 09:00 GMT 

6. The Economics Prize: 10/15/2007 11:00 GMT 

The prize awards ceremony will be held on December 1oth (let me check my calendar - I'm free that day) in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Peace Prize will be awarded in Oslo, Norway.

Each award is worth 10 million Swedish kronors ($1.53 million).

Sweden's Alfred Nobel was the founder and the first prize was awarded in 1901 - "To those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind."
