I heard Matt Mullenweg be interviewed at BlogWorld Expo.
All things considered he struck me as a kid who was in the right place at the right time with the right idea and right ability.
Good for him. Thomas Jefferson said, "I find that the harder I work, the luckier I am."
I am sure Matt was working hard, when he hit 'luck.'
Congratulations on the success of Wordpress.
In one question he was asked how his staff of 18 people is able to support a site
that gets 100 million hits in one month. His answer spoke to why Wordpress is successful and also tells the rest of us how to be successful in whatever is we do.
The people who work for him:
1. would do it whether they get paid for it or not.
2. do it for the love of the product
Hmm...Confucius said - "Find a job you love to do, and you never have to work a day in your life."
Something tells me that the Wordpress bunch isn't doing as much work as they are play...and they are making money at it.
What do you love to do?
