Americans can get put out with each other at work....
Consider the 7 Biggest Pet Peeves in the American Workplace .
But a UC Berkeley economist with the Center for Labor Research % Education says none of those 7 items are the biggest concern for American workers.
American workers have three REAL biggies:
1. They want some sort of say about what goes on at work
2. Stagnant pay
3. Continuing decline in employer-provided health insurance
Let's see, the American worker would like more say in job assignments and
concerns about unfair treatment, but they'll be dog goned into wanting to be held responsible for their decisions. What I hear is that the American worker wants s/he to get what they want and who cares what's best overall.
Everybody wants more money for the work they do. But how much does the worker's job contribute to income to the company?
The American health system is broken...it's abused...frivolous law suits have helped destroy it and it's beyond repair. Time to scrap it and start over.
What is your biggest workplace concern?
