Cell phone blogs are another source of funk, depression, for students in Japan.

A junior high school girl posted defamatory comments on a cell phone blog which resulted in a 15-year old classmate going into a funk and missing school.

"If cell phones are used incorrectly, they can become weapons,"  says an education board dude.

Some of the blasts the new student (boy) took from the girls - "stupid" and "a facial lethal weapon."

When the boy posted the attacks by the girls on his blog, the girls threatened to force him to pay Y1.5 million.

The boy's mom had to step in and contacted the school.

The girls finally apologized after the police also got involved.

"Look out! I am going to defame you with my cell phone!"

People used to call me names. When I whined to my father, he responded with the ditty - Sticks and stones wil break my bones but names will never hurt me."

It seems to me the kid could use some thicker skin, no?
