Charmaine Dragun, 29, was a successful news anchor in Australia.
"Was" is the operative word....she committed suicide by jumping from the Gap into the great unknow Gap between life and whatever comes after.
Not only successful, but also beautiful, bubbly, in a loving family, a long-term relationship and an up-and-coming career.
So, why do 'successful' people commit suicide?
Because beauty, personality, family, relationships and careers are not the only things that give meaning to life...all of them together are not enough sometimes.
How about faith in the Maker?
How about relief in the form of forgiveness for our shortcomings...also known as sin?
How about selfless service?
These things give more meaning to life than adoration and attention.
We don't know why this beautiful young lady ended her life just a few hours before she did the evening news...but I do know what could have kept her alive...knowing that a Creator loved her and that she had value worth giving a life for such that she would never give away her life.
Why do you think people like Charmaine would pack it in?
