A Yale Professor has a new diet trend that he hopes will catch on.
Dieters will sign binding contracts committing them to pay large sums of money if they fail to meet their goals.
The economist who came up with the idea promised to pay $1,000 if he did NOT lose a pound each week. Ten pounds later and he had not forked over any money.
The economist and a law professor are launching a company, StickK, just in time for New Year's resolutions.
The company will offer legally binding contracts to New Year's Resolvers that will force them to pay up if they fail in meeting their goals.
Um...how about we charge people a significant sum to chase their goals, and when
they meet them, we give it back?
If they don't meet the goal, they lose the money.
What's your New Year's resolution going to be?
