
Rising oil prices everywhere, including the land of the rising sun, have forced an elementary school in Yokohama to cancel lunch for two days in January.
The ingredients in school lunches cost too much because of the rising oil prices says the Yokohama Municipal Ekoda Elementary school.
Their only option was to call of school lunch for two days.
The kids ain't gonna like it.
the moms ain't gonna be happy either.
Moms everywhere will have to get up early and pack a lunch for their school goers.![]()
The Board of Education in Yokohama collects about Y40,700 each year for lunch. It's not enough to go around this year.
