Thomas Bynum and Earl Paulk have too much in common.
Both are/were bishops or archbishops of megachurches in the south.
Both did not know how to keep that thing in their pockets.
What's with church leaders not being able to control their urges while they preach/teach others do control theirs?
Human?
Yeah, Jesus battled his humanity and the temptations that came with it and won
.Forgiveness?
Indeed. But there is no need to press it.
Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? The Bible asks.
'God forbid' is the response.
I am a church goer. And, it's become abundantly clear why there are so many people who don't want to join me.
Where do you go on Sundays?

I think the problem with mega-church leaders is just that - - too much mega. We learn (or are taught) to revere ministers so high up that they essentially are not allowed to make mistakes. It's unfair to them, for they are only human. We need to learn to respect them, but to treat them like men, which is what they are. They are not superhuman. Just as any man (or woman for that matter) can struggle with fleshly temptations, it is stupidly unreasonable to think they won't act on it. The church has a responsibility to not only teach discipline but to teach honesty as well.
