Tucker Chapman taped a conversation with his dad, Duane "Dog" Chapman, the star of the hit A&E show "Dog the Bounty Hunter."
Apparently the conversation wasn't very pleasant - the N-word, profanity and such...enough to make the son mad and want to sell out his father.
I've never seen the show, don't plan on watching it either...can't get any reception on the box in the room w/o cable and we don't have cable.
But, I do have a son, two of them for that matter.
And, I can imagine what it might feel like to have one or both of them 'sell me out.'
I don't know because neither of them have ever betrayed me and, well, I hope I haven't given them anything to 'sell' anyway.
I don't know what Dog said, don't care....what happens on a phone between a man and his kids is between them and nobody else.
I do know the son is guilty of betrayal...what's up with the recording of the
conversation anyway?
The father apologized profusely - "utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred.
“I did not mean to add yet another slap in the face to an entire race of people who have brought so many gifts to this world. I am ashamed of myself and I pledge to do whatever I can to repair this damage I have caused.
“My sincerest, heartfelt apologies go out to every person I have offended for my regrettable use of very inappropriate language. I am deeply disappointed in myself for speaking out of anger to my son and using such a hateful term in a private phone conversation.”
I am not black...but this apology is more than acceptable...no beating around the bush...no rationalizations...sincere reflection and apology.
The son? Who's he going to apologize to?
My bet is Dog is waiting by the phone.

Dog is a good man and his show was a great one. tucker can you notaccept your dad he said he was sorry. What kind of a son are you. dkunz
