
The TOEFL test (Test of English as a Foreign Language) will be offered to 100,000 test takers online in China in 2008.
The number is 80% higher than the number of test takers for this year.

In 2006, some 130,000+ Chinese went overseas to study. Each year an average of 75,000 people take the TOEFL test.![]()
The test can be scheduled online at TOEFL.
Next year there will be 32 rounds across the Chinese mainland in 87 exam rooms.
More than 6,000 colleges and universities in 100 countries use the TOEFL to measure English-language skills.
But, just because students, especially those from China, score well on the test, it doesn't mean they can speak English.
