Heather Kuzmich has Asperger's Syndrome.

The young lady is:

1. an art student from Valparaiso, IN. 

2. 21-years old 

3. socially awkward

4. unable to make eye contact consistently

5. the butt of her roommates' jokes

6. one of 13 women selected by Tyra Banks to be exploited, to compete on "America's Next Top Model."

7. Asperger's Syndrome is a kind of autism.

8. Those with the disorder are sometimes called Aspies.

9. Aspies have above-average intelligence

10. Ddon't make friends well and

11. can't gauge social situations.

12. The can have a single minded-fixation that is weird to those who don't understand and amazing when it is seen to completion.

Determination is the same. When someone ultimately fails, they were considered stubborn. When they succeed, what a strong will they had.  

I could have this problem, except for the fact that I don't have above-average intelligence.

Exploited? Perhaps.

Making the best of the situation by educating people around her?

Indeed.
