People, univeristies, whatever, cannot create anything. They usually just rearrange something God already made.

But, what about those Koreans? The have cloned kittens that glow in the dark.

Seriously. 

The Korean scientists from Gyeongsang National Universitycwere after treatments for human genetics when they manipulated a flourescent protein gene.

As a side-effect, cloned cats that glow in the dark when exposed to ultraviolet beams were created.

The three cats possess altered fluorescence protein (RFP) genes.

I wonder who thought to put them under ultraviolet lights.

Anyway, best of all, they are just in time for Christmas.

"Mommy, can I have a glow in the dark kitten for Christmas."
