Merry Christmas and 6 Gifts from Robert Hawkins at the Omaha Westroads Mall

Robert Hawkins wished everyone Merry Christmas at the Westroads Mall in Omaha.

1. To his mom he gave her the gift of '"go(ing) out in style" and "be(ing) famous".

2. To some in the mall he dropped them while they shopped

3. To eight others, he gave them early entry into their reward.

4. To six more he gave them bullet wounds and a life of overcoming adversity.

5. From a third floor balcony he rained down bullets, then shot himself while he stood in a privately owned retailer that sells apparel, shoes and related goods, Von Maur.

6. To all the rest of us he gave stores and malls a reason for us to shop with increased security around us, that we will pay for, so that we can worry a little less who the next nut case is going to be and whether he or she might randomly shoot us or worse.

Merry Christmas from Robert Hawkins.

This sickens me and I don't find it the least bit amusing... Perhaps you would feel differently if you lived blocks away too...

first before you try to be funny about something like this get all the numbers right. second seek humor classes as this is not at all funny.

This type of sick humor at the expense of innocent victims is repulsive!!!!

This is NOT meant to be humorous. Please reread it. It's a commentary on how depraved our society has become.

I see that it's not suppose to be funny. However, I think people will react poorly to it, because it's been posted too close to the incident. This is hard for us Omahans to read right now.

Merry Christmas
And I suppose Hawkins was also yelling
Hole Hole Hole Merry Christmas while he was shooting

His suicide note said he was going to the mall to beat Cho's high score.

Perfect example of how Video Game's corrupt the reality of the brain !

He went to the mall to play a video game.

Case Closed !!

I could not believe my eyes when I read this! I am doing a mid-term paper on this crime and I am astonished, sickened and angry that someone could write something like this about such a tragedy! Do you have psychological, biological or social issues that you would write about something so tragic and with such disrespect? You should be ashamed of yourself! Have you no heart?

It is not how sick our society has become, it is how sick people of our society have become and instead of offering help and prayers and sympathy you offer a certainly horrific explaination of what you consider to be what happened. You are amoung those that need help! How can I help you?
