Chinese students are going bonkers in Nanjing.
One of the students at Nanjing Normal University quit school after winning Y5 million ($683,000).
The second year student learned he won in the newspaper, collected his winnings from the China Welfare Lottery, then promptly left school.
Nobody knows when/if he will come back or not.
Y5 million is good for living at the upper-middle class level in China for about 25 years.
This 20-year old knucklehead will need to rethink his strategy when he is 45.
And many of us know that there is a LOT of life to live after turning 45.Students in Nanjing are swarming to lottery stands, one in particular, in hopes of winning.
"It is too distracting and unrealistic for a college student to base his dreams on risky lotteries," said a professor at Nanjing Normal University.
Really now?
Is it too distracting for workmen, housewives, retirees, too? Tell that to Americans.
