In China two government officials were shown the door for their lack of supervision when it was discovered that teachers in their area had forced 23 school girls into prostitution.
More sickening - they were primary and middle school girls, six of them under 14!
One of the teachers (a woman), was a primary school part-timer.
She was sentenced to death for operating the ring.
Her husband was given a suspended death sentence.
The girls were told they were being taken on a school vacation or to do work on a farm.
Can you imagine the excitement going and the broken-heartedness returning home?
For their efforts, the gang made $4,400 and get to die.

Thank you for accepting my comment and listening to another perspective. Of course I do not condone child abuse, or even putting children in an unhappy and unhealthy environment of any kind. However, I don't agree with the revenge-centric attitude in your comments.
Yes it's low, and the teacher is clearly not right in the head and needs help... However, capital punishment is not the answer. Not in a modern first world progressive society, and not in the kind of society we should strive to create. And frankly, if none of the children were disfigured or killed, then capital punishment is way overkill. Even if we know without a shadow of a doubt (which I'd add, in practice, we pretty much never do) that the criminal is in fact guilty, and is in fact completely at fault (note, I'd question if it's moral to actually completely blame anyone for any mistake). Even then, even life imprisonment without parole might be overkill, depending on the specifics of the situation.
The only thing worse than a criminal, is a person who advocates not only an eye-for-an-eye, but worse, one eye for both eyes and both arms and both legs and a nose and both ears and your genitals too.
Rape is a serious issue, women's rights are a serious issue, and the extent to which rape (especially of women, but not exclusively) is still common, is a serious issue. However, rape is simply not equivalent to murder or disfigurement. It's not okay to freak out about rape, and then joke about something more severe like getting murdered or disfigured.
The recent incident with Sharon Ozborne is a good example of how messed up and anti-rational this kind of thinking is. Ozborne made a huge joke about a male getting his penis cut off and thrown into a garbage disposal, which is worse than rape... But if someone joked to her about rape, she might have freaked out. Stupid anti-intellectual hypocrisy.
I really think that creating a culture that is accepting of violence when it's approved violence or based on revenge, encourages more violence to happen in the first place, and creates a culture that has more wrongfully persecuted individuals when we dehumanize someone by calling him/her a "criminal". I think it's better to create a culture that is anti-violence and pro-progress. Thank you for listening.
