When you want to have exceptional time management skills, why set goals?
Before that, ask yourself what are you goals?
1. Gain 10 pounds.
2. Lose the freshman 15.
3. Get a boyfriend.
4. Get a girlfriend.
5. Lose a boyfriend or girlfriend.
6. Get an “A” in a meaningful class.
7. Skate through college.
8. Cram four years of study into five or six.
9. Go to graduate school.
10. Get out of the house.
Why set goals?
Goals are destinations, targets. Imagine getting in you car and going for a drive but not knowing where you are going or when you need to be there. Do you turn, speed up, slow down, fill up, stop for chow, or just stay in the driveway?
How is that you end up places? Because you knew where you wanted to go…usually.
It’s the same way in life. If you know where you are headed, you know whether or not you need to turn, speed up, slow down, fill up…
You get the picture?
Or maybe you just want to stay on the porch and watch life go by.
Okay, what are your goals?
