Why set goals?
It helps to break goals down into small achievable steps. It also helps to divide them up into time frames. Got to get it done now. Next week. Next month. Next Year. Before I graduate. That sort of thing.
The farther away the goal the less detailed a plan needs to be and the more likely it is that it will change a little or even substantially.
What needs to happen now is that you need to get started. Set a few goals. What do you want to get done:
1. by the time you go to bed?
2. by the end of the week?
3. by the end of the year?
4. by the time you graduate?
There were two men sitting on a roof watching the flood waters rise around their homes. In the neighboring yard one man noticed a hat going back and forth across the yard in a straight line. From one side to the other…then back. Then again.
The one fellow said to the other “Look at that hat moving back and forth.”
“Yeah, that’s Harry. He said that come hell or high water he was going to mow the grass today.?
Think of a few things you want to get done come hell or high water. Make a list now and come back for part three.
