
Two out of every three high schooler in Japan is working as of the end of October. The official figure is 67.4%.
One wonders what the kids are doing with their mad money.
Still it's the fifth year in a row the percentage has risen says the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has found.
Last year 64.2% of kids in high school worked.
"Recovery in the economy and an increase in the number of people retiring has influenced the figure," said one analysis.
I also worked part-time for my dad each weekend starting when I was just 13, keeping his books for about $10/week or $40/month.
