There's a reason why you shouldn't talk on your cell phone and walk at the same time.
A knucklehead in San Leandro, just across the Bay from me apparently was zo engrossed in his conversation -
"But, honey, I love you. I didn't mean to cheat on you. It didn't mean a thing. I love you...."
when all of a sudden, he was cut off, by an oncoming train....Amtrak style.
He apparently walked around the lowered crossing gate at about 12:30pm.
"If you don't believe me, I am gonna walk around this gate and let a train run over me."
"Okay."
SPPPLLATTT!
Train conductors saw the guy but couldn't stop in time.
Good thing the guy wasn't driving at the time, eh?
Speaking of knuckleheads and train crossings. About a quarter of a mile from my house, some guy turned right and missed the road. He ended up on the train tracks. Possible, possible. But, he kept driving down the tracks for about 50 feet or so. Not possible, not possible unless, maybe these two were talking to each other.
