The World Bank is calling on Japan to help in Africa.
There are four areas:
1. infrastructure
2. information technology
3. science
4. education
"Education, that is definitely something that Japan can hold out to the continent of Africa", says the World Bank's VP for Africa, a former education minister of Nigeria,
Japan, after all, developed into the world's second largest
economy.
Africa loses out with power outages, transportation bottlenecks and such.
Tokyo will co-host the Tokyo International Conference on African Development next May.
The conference will focus on:
1. Africa's development
2. peace-keeping
3. environment
4. climate change
