A group of words relating to fear.
1. cower - shrink or crouch afraid. If you stand up to that bully instead if cowering, maybe he will be the one who backs down.
2. dastardly - cowardly and mean. The captain proved to be dastardly when he abandoned his ship and left his crew and passengers to die.
3. intimidate - make fearful or timid. The gang on the east side intimidated the weaker group on the west into leaving their territory.
4. poltroon - complete coward. The poltroon hid under the bed while the intruder had his way with his family.
5. trepidation - fear, trembling. The young lady gave her speech in front of the large crowd with no trepidation.
