I use the word a lot a lot. Many times I say many. And, I say much too much.
Are there other alternatives?
1. colossal - huge, enormous. Stanford has a colossal swim facility.
2. commodious - spacious, roomy. I can set my office up in the commodious garage.
3. gamut - entire range. At first I was fully confident, then scared to death. My emotions ran the gamut.
4. infinitesimal - very minute, immearsurably small. I added an infinitesimal amount of salt to the soup. Don't worry.
5. inordinate - much too great. excessive. If you an inordinate amount of chocolate, it will definitely go to 'waist' anyway.
6. iota - very small. 9th letter of the Greek alphabet. Pronounced ee-oh-tah, not eye-oh-tah. I have not one iota of compassion for that loser.
7. picayune - petty, small. Don't worry about the picayune details.
8. pittance - small amount. Jesus praised the widow even though the religious leaders thought her contribution a pittance.
