Global warming today is not as great as it was on two prior occasions.
In the early part of the second millenium, some 800-1000 years ago temperatures on the earth were higher than they are today.
There was a warming also in the late 19th-early 20th century that occured after the Little Ice Age.
And, believe it or not there were no SUVs during either of those periods.
The indicators:
1 - the retarded growth of tree rings during cold times, the
2 - the advance and retreat of mountain and polar glaciers
3 - coral growth rings revealing the temperatures of the ocean
The real question - are we sure there were no SUVs back then?
