When Adam and Even fell for the Devil's lies they discovered shame, guilt, sin.
Their first inclination was to try and cover it up.
Their second inclination was to try and hide themselves from God, to not be found out.
When God came to visit them in the garden, they tried to hide themselves among the trees. It was futile.
I have a Dr friend, M.D., who tells me that an overwhelming majority of the patients he sees come to him as a result of sin in their lives. He's a general
practitioner not a shrink. His patients abuse food and drink. They smoke. Worst of
all, they try to cover it up and hide their actions hoping they won't be found out.It doesn't work.
It doesn't work on any scale. Lies, thefts, murders, wars...
The sooner mankind realizes their wrongdoings, the sooner things can be turned around, the sooner the world can indeed become a better place.
