Male and female He created them.

I may be way off here considering some of the teachings in the New Testament but...

God created man. God created him: male and female He created them.

Them - is that male and female plural?

Or is that sets of 'them' that He created?

Is the story that follows one incident of His creation?

Or did God create more than one pair of male and female?

If it is the latter, it will answer that age old question, where did Cain (we haven't met him just yet) get his wife?

If it is the former, I still have no problem with Cain finding a wife.

Still, I can't help but wonder if there aren't more than one pairs that God created.
