Lessons from the Good Book - Something from Something

I thought to work my way through the Good Book to share lessons I have learned and how they affect my world view, and three some days running, I am still stuck on Genesis 1:1.

I'll move on. I definitely don't have so much to say about or think on for every verse of the Bible.

Yesterday, I wrote Lessons from the Good Book - Something from Nothing.

Today, it may seem that I will contradict myself.

Indeed, from a scientific point of view, you can't get something from nothing. Though in my mind, that is exactly what evolutionists would have us believe.

The fact of the matter is that neither the believer of creation nor the believer ingood.book.jpg evolution can go back to the beginning and see how it all started out. The key thought...both are believing.

The evolutionists believes in the beginning was nothing, and then there was something.

The creationist believes in the beginning there was something and now there is more.

It is easier and more scientific, and I might point out correct, to believe that in the beginning there was something. That's where I am at.

Where do you start from?

Where did the "Something" that was there come from? If you could beleive that the "Something" you speak of has always been there then why can't you beleive that the universe and everything in it has always been there? I see it as a forever expanding and contracting system. The "Something" you speak of cannot be seen, touched, or heard. Yet, it's easier to say it has always been there? I think it is more logical to look around at what you CAN see, touch, and hear and say THIS has always been here.

D,
Thanks for writing.
I never saw, heard or touched Beethoven or Michelangelo, but it is easier for me to say they were there than to say the notes jumped together by chance on to a piece of paper to make a concerto or that the wind blew randomly to chip away the Pieta.
