Pam Oliver isn't likely to get the Pulitzer Prize for sports reporting.
That thought came to mind because I am reading a book by Jim Murray, the sportswriter for the LA times for many years.
After he was awarded the Pulitzer for his sports reporting, that is, he did nothing but write a sports column week after week after week for 2-3 decades, he was recognized for his excellence.
When he was told, he replied something to the effect, "I didn't know you could get a Pulitzer just for quoting Tommy Lasorda correctly."
Pam Oliver can or can't quote get Donovan McNabb correctly. We don't know. ![]()
What we do know is, if she can't get it right, and everyone doesn't know she got it right, she'll never get a Pulitzer.
Who's your favorite sports writer?
