Living in China is a real privilege for foreign students.

Most of the time students come to China with a completely wrong idea of the country.

Some of them might have appreciated a few survival tips like these ones:

1. Don’t refuse an invitation to eat.

2. Do always bargain while buying things.

3. Don’t give your address or phone number to strangers.

4. Respect and learn about China's traditions and festivals. They are very interesting and important to the Chinese.

5. Do learn how to use chopsticks (or you might starve)

6. Do always ask what kind of meat you are eating.

7. Do always ask for prices before accepting any kind of services.

8. Do not act like a tourist

9. Do always ask for advice to your Chinese friends or foreign students with more experience.

10. Do get used to personal questions like: how old are you? How much money do you make in a month? Are you married? What do your parents do? …

11. Do get used to lunchtime exactly at 12 pm and dinner at 6 pm.
