I am trying to get out more.
I work at home. In my garage actually. I call it my garoffice. At least I have to walk out the door to get to work. There is some separation. See number one of the Five Tips for a Successful Freelance Writing Career.
What I really need to do, probably should have made it a New Year's resolution if I did that sort of thing, is to get out more. Not just outside of my garoffice, but outside of the regular sites I often visit.
So, I am going to do that. Try to do that. Try not to be a mikka boozu. That's a three day wonder, except that the Japanese call them three day priests. You know the guy or girl who gives up on something new after three days?
Anyway, I want to know more, read more education blogs. I thought while doing that I may as well share here at TBOK the good, the bad and the ugly sites that I come upon.
Eduwonk.com, written by Andrew Rotherham, has been in my bookmarks for some time. You'll find his blog in my blogroll after today.
He has a list of positive reviews that looks like a football roster. Except the players are the likes of The Washington Post, Bush Advisor, Sandy Kess and the New Dem Daily.
There's a baker's dozen list of Education News and Analysis, a baseball roster list of Policy and Political blogs, a blogroll of education blog writers long enough to fill an overcrowded Chinese classroom and links to enough Education Resources and Organizations to keep two or three graduate assistants busy for an entire quarter doing research.
To be sure, I'll be back at Eduwonk. Perhaps you might want to visit as well.
In case you're wondering... This review is totally unsolicited. Totally.
