We can learn lots of things at university.
The Humanities, Psychology, Physics, Sociology...
There might even be a class on how to cover up getting a DUI.
Just take a leave of absence and call it 'medical leave.' That should do it.
The president of A.T. Still University "requested and was granted a medical leave of absence." Makes sense sometimes. Sixty-eight year old men might need a break to take care of personal things.
In this case, the 'personal thing' happened at 2:37am on Nov. 28th in Kansas City, MO. Police observed him nearly hitting a median while turning into the wrong lane.
Just five days later, the president decided he needed to take a break.![]()
It was his second DUI violation in a three-year period. I don't know about MO but in CA, three DUIs and you're off to the pokey.
But, why not face up to the charges? Why hide it? Why have the VP of communications and marketing "neither confirm nor deny" what is going on?
And, we wonder where college students get the idea of hiding and making excuses for their shortcomings is learned.
