My son is in college, getting ready to graduate. He is thinking to take time off in between his undergraduate studies and his graduate studies to explore.
I asked him if he didn't think it would be better to get accepted into grad school, then take time off.
He said, "Papa, I talked to my friends. We decided that it's not that a big a deal to get into grad school even after taking time off. We can do the 'Kaplan thing' for six months to get up to speed and fall right back into the study routine.
The Kaplan thing. Kaplan is part of the lingo of university students. What Kaplan can do and offer is also well known to the college crowd at all levels.
Now, there is Kaplan online, too.
Students, adult students as well, students sowing their oats, students exploring other life options, all of them can do their thing and also do the Kaplan thing when they want to prepare for their studies.
How about these 5 reasons to consider the Kaplan thing?
1. Designed to meet the needs of students unable to attend traditional on-campus classes.
2. It is a flexible form of learning where a student can study from home, work, on the move and when they want to.
3. Support throughout the course by a dedicated academic adviser
4. Regular interaction with fellow students and/or their tutor
5. Program of study fits around a student´s work and personal commitments.
6. Achievement of an online business degree from a leading UK university.
7. An invitation to attend a graduation ceremony with guests upon successful completion.
8. Kick-starting or enhancing a career.
So, what is keeping you from doing the Kaplan thing?
