The debate is NOT over. Global warming is not forgone conclusion. Human caused global warming is NOT happening. And humanity is wasting its efforts trying to fight the natural course of things.
But, then we have to be alarmed about something, don't we? Does anyone remember Y2K?
10 reasons to NOT fight against global warming.
1. Uh, what global warming. NASA and the Hadley Center for Climate Protection said global temps cooled last year more than at any time on record.
2. China had the coldest winter in history last year.
3. Baghdad had the first snowfall ever
4. There were record snowfalls in the Rockies.
5. Frigid temps across North America and Europe
6. Expanding ice masses in Antartica - faster than ever
7. Increased CO2 is beneficial
8. If every nation met the Kyoto treaty by 100% the earth's temps MIGHT drop .14 degrees Centrigrade in the next 40 years.
9. Climate change legislation costs jobs (3.7 million jobs according to Charles River Associates), stunts economic growth, hurts mostly the poor and middle class, and sends energy costs up (30-35%).
10. Corn used for biofuel will cause food costs to skyrocket, hurting the poor and middle class again.
Let's stop spending money on fighting God and let the cycle (can you say cycle?) run its course. Let's use the trillions of dollars that are being needlessly spent to fight what can't be prevented anyway to do some good elsewhere.
