The 37-year old New College of California will close its doors after graduation this year (6/21).

The college:

1. hasn't paid its faculty since November

2. owes back property taxes

3. is behind in its mortgage payments

4. is in debt to vendors (internet connections and office equipment leases)

5. has financial irregularities

6. has admission irregularities

7. has enrollment irregularities

8. has grade irregularities

9. has poor documentation of student records

10. has poor documentation of student aid.

The progressive alternative school that offered credits for life experience and granted masters degrees in activism and social change is shutting down.

Yeah...shut it down.
